how do i open dbs editor on my pc t edit channel lists? i have extracted the dbs editor zip but it has no extension to open up and use.

when you extract the dbs editor.zip there will be a folder, in the folder is a file named PVR800-Editor_dbs.exe, click on this
If it is not downloading properly try a different web browser

thanks alot for that! i have been playing around with it and now know how to delete channels i don't want and arrange favorites.

do you know if there is any editor that lets you lock channels, move channels etc? not a problem if not, it can be done through the box but was just wondering.

Yes, the media box editor studio will let you lock the channels, double click on the name of the channel, and a new box will appear. Under parameters put a tick in the box lock. As for moving channels they are just drag and drop very much like windows explorer (drag the channel where you want)

you need to rename the file extension from dbs to abs
Import the file into Media Box and open using Ali generic no cas settings

Hi im using a skybox f5s, video looks lovely but im very slow and silly with all these softwares. my channel groups are fav group 1, fav group 2, fav group 3 etc. How do i rename this to sports, movies, documentary etc? The way you have shown on the video, is that the only way?? thanks

Menu, fav edit then yellow. It's the only way
