Looking for some advice for starting out?

HI guys! First of all I'd like to thank you for having me on your forum. I am new to all of this therefore I am looking for some advice. From reading around on the forums I am trying to build up a basic knowledge. If I buy an F5 and connect my satellite dish and use AJs channel list is it really that simple to access all the sky channels? I thank you in advance for any insight you can offer

    Hi Barbarian,

first thing i would recommend about being on here is to be very patient. There is some very good people on here, that give great advice.
Also remember that everyone here has been a noob, so don't be surprised if no one answers your questions out right.

Secondly, do a lot of digging around, as all your answers are here (Somewhere).

What you have suggested is correct, on the F5 box, use the loop connector to connect back to your skybox.
Also from the sky box, although there are two cables, your skybox can work on one. Loosen both cables and put them back one by one, if you have connected the correct one first, then your skybox should display a channel and sound.

Simply use the remaining cable to place in the loop portal of the F5. Then add the other end of the loop to the skybox.

Lastly add the hdmi and network cable from the router.

Also when you boot up the F5, you may see channel scamble. don't panic, just press channel up or down, this usually fixes the issue.
