1080i or 1080p ??

    1080i or 1080p ??

    My tv supports both, which am i best choosing?

    1080p as that is full hd

      1080i is also full HD one is interlaced and the other progressive, Seeing as satellite standard broadcast's are Interlaced you would be better setting it to 1080i so as not to have the box upscale the picture again to progressive

          1080i or 1080P is both FullHD. As previously said one is said to be interlaced and the other one is progressive. These terms mean how the screen is build.One the even lines are build than the next the uneven lines to build the picture. The other one goes from bottom to top or the way around. 1080P needs more cpu power. It depends on the movie you are about to see. If this movie is build for 1080P it's better to have 1080P. If it's build for 1080I. Your setting will blur the picture a bit. Not much. And most tv can handle the switch.

            1080p is best but if you have a 3D projector then it needs to be set to 1080i to view side by side 3d channels.
