ebox hd platinum

another ebox problem, ( not sure if im in the right section for this thread)
been given an ebox hd platinum to set up.
now its all password protected, have gone through the usual 0000, 9999 etc but no joy.
cant do anything with it, cant scan transponders/satellites etc, cant even do a factory reset.
have managed to upgrade the s/w via a usb stick, hoping that it would do some sort of a p/w re-set, but no.

spent hours looking for info, manuals etc, but not getting anywhere.
found a link to d/l the manual, but i had to d/l a programe and install a toolbar, then my antivirus went into overdrive so i never botherd.

if someone has a manual/or tells me how to get around the p/w issue, be much appreciated.

dont seem to be getting anywhere with this box.
so dont suppose anybody has an upto date channel list for this box?
at least i can start by getting the fta channels back,

Have you tried 6666? What kind of format is the channel list in or can't you access that info?

tried all that, 1111 to 9999 also 1234 etc.
cant even access the channel list, all i can do is see what s/w version is on it, and get the fta channels that are still on live transponders.
have e-mailed a company called infosats in tialand, to see if they can help.
its crazy, because even to do a factory re-set still requires the password.

see if they e-mail back, wont be holding my breath though!!!!

It was the code for a cool box platinum.

Another way for the Cool box was to power the box off with the button on the front of the box then power on while holding the channel button. Keep both pressed in to see if diagnostic menu appears.

DW thanks for that will give it a try, this box has the power at the back, but can still apply the same principal.
anyway i never got a reply back from tialand!!!!!
