Openbox s6000 wont update flash

Hi I'm hoping you can help, i'm pretty new to the openbox, have been updating the image using usb stick.
I need to update it again as the box went through a factory reset (what i get for leaving a 2 year old with remote control) however now when i put usb in, the box starts goes red then blue straight away, not updating.
so i changed to a usb which lights up (to see if the usb was the problem) and it doesnt light up now until after the blue light comes on so the box isnt accessing it on start up.
is there a way to manually update the flash or set it up again?

I think this is a vu solo clone as mentioned before on the forum try asking the question in this section.

when u start flash red light appears,then solid blue for about 5mins, then it goes red again then blue again ,then flashing blue & it should be done,some images seem to load slower than others,i found vix took a little longer than pli ,don't forget to remove usb when done
