channels with v not working

Hi wondering if anyone can help, I've found that most of the channels with v in then have very low quality signal and intensity 10% and 45%, is this down to the position of my dish, or is something else wrong, eg F1 hd works on Sly box but not on F5 box, any help thanks - thinking about it if it working on Sly it cant be the dish, can it?

Let me take a guess are you using you F5 together with the sly box on the same LNB? If so you have two solutions to the problem 1. replace sly LNB with another universal LNB 2. try to get a in line amp or make one yourself.

im using 8way lnb, feeding two sly boxes and f5, I take it you mean that the f5 needs its own lnb, is this the case for all boxes or just the cheap ones, looking to upgrade to blade media would I still have same problem thanks

No you would not the Blade works fine on any standard $ly Quad or Octo with official receivers sharing the same LNB, you are quite correct its only these cheap Hong Kong Phooey receivers that need a botched up 3" piece of coax to work correctly

thanks both, I slowly getting to rips with the f5, I really should have read up on it first, serves me right, think ill order fix and get blade and give f5 to kids, so we'll all happy, i'll post back in couple of days if fix don't work, thanks again both

update for you, diode fix arrived today, fitted, and yes it fixed problem, will worth the ?6, you could make it for ?2-3 but not really worth the hassle
