New SkyBox F3 - Where to start, no satellite list or options to add mgcamd list

I cant seem to get the skybox F3 working! There is no uk satellite list - how would I add this in? Do I have to format?

Also when i have gone to network to add in a mgcamd list, there is no option to do so! So cant find where to add in the config to gain access to the channels and i cant do a scan as there is no uk list in the options to select.

Any help would be great, as my previous box come setup and all i have to do was install a tv guide.

You can enter sat manually and the c a m s are hidden behind 6666 when in the Network Menu



Stick the attached file on it has UK list embedded with North West locals

Do i have to do things in a certain order, as when i look in network i cant see anything saying 6666 or mgcamd setup etc?

How would i install the attached, do i have to install this before i see the mgcamd setup in the list? or factory reset / backup etc?

Press Menu and scroll to the Network Local Settings then enter 6666 and you should see the cams appear.

To enter Sat manually you press Menu, scroll to Installation, Sat List and Add.

Simple thing to do is download the file, extract it with winrar or winzip and copy the extracted file to a USB stick.

Place stick in box and press menu, scroll to tools, Updgrade by usb and select image start.

The upgrade will reflash the software with the same that is on the latest boxes so it should be the same as whats on yours.

The difference is its a backup of a box I have that was saved with the channel database.

If you want to check your box is original look at the back of the remote it and it should have a gold QC sticker. Also if you take the battery cover off you should see the word Skybox moulded into the plastic case.

I duno wat versions on mine at the moment. But if yours is the latest one ill just use that one then. The listing on amazon said its new, so I'm guessing it's the latest one but with no uk sat list!
