    Skybox F3 recording external HDD

    Hi
    Another recording question
I have external HDD connected to my F3 it is a Seagate 3.5 ide 160 gb formatted as FAT32 and running a USB2.0 connection (old Sly+ HDD) It is in a caddy that is powered from the mains, with this set up I can record BBC 1 Hd , BBC2 Hd and all the standard channels but it will record no other Hd channels, i get the ?usb to slow for this action? message.
If I take the HDD out of an old sly Hd box will this be able to record with no message of usb to slow as it was in a Hd box and thus recorded in Hd
Why can I only record BBC 1 Hd and BBC2 Hd and no other Hd channels
    I hope this makes sense
    Thanks
    Mike

A Hard drive is the same as any other apart from RPM speed which on official $ly and Freesat recorders and most others just have a lower RPM speed to reduce heat, but your own Hard Drive should still record

Try different TS settings and let the box format the drive.

            Yes in the PVR Settings.

I dont have a drive on mine but a mate was having the same problem and I recall him saying he changed the TS in the settings.
