Not sure what has happened,but have lost the ability to scan channels and look at the TP List,any ideas

In the "satellite list" option in the "installation" menu, you need to have a tick next to one of the names on the list. If you haven't, then press the OK button while highlighting the line you want to scan to place a tick next to it, then press Exit.
