"Diode Fix"

Hi,

Seen some posts about a so called "diode fix" can someone please explain to me what this is actually for? Is it a way of boosting the strength / quality of the incoming signal to the box from the lnb or does is have some other purpose?


Sorry if this is a duplicate thread, I did a search and couldn't find an exact answer as to what this actually does, just people saying that they have used this fix for what seem like situations that may have been caused by a number of issues other than purely bad signal.

The Diode fix is for when you are using another receiver on the LNB such as an Original $ly Subscription box

This will not cure an already poor signal problem that is either a dish alignment issue or LNB fault
