NO SIGNAL ?

my friend gets no signal on some s-y channels i would say he gets 50/50 working and no signal how could this be ? if the dish is out should you be getting no channels at all

Is your friend by chanve using an official receiver connected to the same LNB as the Skybox if so then do a quick search of the forum for No signal fix

yes ther is a sky sticker on lnb should this be a problem and can it be fixed

There is a constellation of satellites in the 28.2e position, so not all transponders are transmitted with the same signal strength. If the dish alignment is borderline, then I suppose some channels could be received while others are not.

Has he always had this problem, or has it only happened recently?

Like digicom, my first thought was the problems caused by running an official $ly+ box on the same LNB as the openbox, but obviously not.

no i think hes had the problem before on hes origanal s-y box and i have manually moved it but no luck on some channels

You really need to concentrate on receiving Eutelsat 28A form 28.5? east say something like CBS action this is the weakest bird out of the fleet parked at 28? east, If you get a good signal on this transponder/channel all the others will be perfect
