Can anyone advise if f5 can play sound through home cinema box. Red white and yellow plugs produce time dubbing sync between speakers and TV. Thanx in advance for any info.

I have the HDMI direct to TV so pic & sound are in sync. If connect to & play thru home cinema , HD/3D quality is compromised? and the dubbing sync is all over the place. So if I connect HDMI direct to TV and connect red & white speakers to home cinema, I get good quality pics but lag in the sound. I think the sound quality is 5.1 its just a timing issue. Thanks for your post Speedfreak70 cheers mate.Comment

No problem but that is probably the main issue you are trying to marry up an analogue sound signal with a pure digital picture signal.
Have you tried through the Amp the Red/White audio and then just the Yellow Video signal into the TV, I know not ideal but this will rule out the Digital/Analogue connection problem

Given the two alternatives I think I'd prefer HD picture quality over 5.1 sound.... shame really. As Cactikid pointed out COMPROMISE. & as we all know "COMPROMISE IS A SIGN OF WEAKNESS" you really do get what you pay for. Finally out of interest is there a box that offers HDMI & Digital audio output: S/PDIF by coaxial and optical cable?Comment
