will the F5 work off an old sat receiever

Hi can anyone help... I used to have s*l*y but moved to VM some 10 year ago .. I still have the s*l*y dish up and have connected the f5 all seems to be ok other that cant find the sports channels movies etc are fine? even when I add the TPs it does not find them and signal is good?

If your free to air channels are o.k then your dish should be al-right, on the newer firmware the scrambled channels show up as no signal if you don't have something we can't talk about in your box then you won't see the scrambled channels.

First channel to check is CBS action which is FTA if this is OK then you know the dish is absolutely fine
