    HELP!!!remote for f3 skybox

    i brought my f3 skybox with me offshore so i could get the footy but left my remote at home meaning i cant even put the rigs wifi password in to connect because i cant get it lower case without a remote,is there anyway of doing this on the box controls?or is there a make and model number for the box i can ad to my logitech universal remote to use that.oh and i cant connect with ethernet

    Might be able to do it with android or iphone. Andy. Then again I'm not certain now as I know you can on Enigma 2 boxes like Dreambox.

      yeah but wouldnt the skybox need to be hooked up to wireless first???

                Post 4 is just a link to the mobile apps.

                OP said in post 1 that he hooks up to the rigs wifi. If he can get an app to work on mobile then he could get into the menus and set the wifi settings.

                      Surely what is asked in post three makes no difference as the mobile app could be downloaded using the rigs wifi to. Once some form of remote is working setting could be changed as its usually just up, down side and OK that is used.

                      If they receive regular post on the rig a new one could be there in a couple of days.

                        yeah i mean ill need the skybox connected to the same wifi network as my ipod to be able to use it as a control.i have wifi available but just cant get to enter the password on the f3 without the remote,well i can put in password but only in uppercase,the password is in upper and lower case.. hope this clears it up a bit

                            Yes it clears it up.

                            If you can connect your phone to the wifi you can download an app that is a universal remote control. If you can then get it to control the F3 you can then change the case.

                              yeah but doesnt the phone use the wifi connection that the f3 must have as well??theres no infra red on phones is there?
