    SKYBOX F5

Hello everyone.... this is my first post so i would just like to start off by saying to the owners/creators thanks for setting this very useful site up, i have been using the internet to try and learn as much as i can about these f5 boxes as i have only had this F5 box a week and slowly getting used to it and trying to figure out what all the settings mean as this is the first time i have owned a satellite dish and box, i have always used a freeview twin recordable tuner box, anyway i bought a satellite finder on ebay and to the best of my knowledge i have aligned the dish the best i could, signal intensity is around 90% and signal quality is 75% so my first questions are these two.

    1. While watching any channel at various times it freezes just for maybe 3 or 4 seconds, and it carries on like this all the time during the program ? does anyone know what is causing this or is it normal with these boxes.
    2. regarding signal intensity and quality is it possible to get them both nearer 100% although having said this i could never manage to do this.
Thanks for reading this and hope someone can give me an answer to the above.

Hi Barry you will have more success in the Openbox/Skybox section this is for saying hello As for your problem I'm guessing this is on premium channels. This subject we cant say to much about so check the rules before you make your next post and enjoy your stay, Andy

Think they just done that If your fta channels like bbc1 work fine its an internet problem, more likely the part we cant talk about I'm afraid, Andy.

Think you got decent signal with a Skybox would certainly be higher on a box like Dreambox but if its good on bbc1 itv then you know its not the dish its the other I'm afraid, Andy.

Try starting your own thread or do some reading and searching there's no point hijacking someone else's thread, Andy.

When you say channel list update was it via the usb or did you do a blind scan on the box ??

Goto menu / edit channels / delete all / click delete all / then yes / reboot the box / then add a channel list by usb see if that works
