    F5 losing time

My Skybox F5 keeps losing time and i have to set the time every 5 or 6 days.

Any ideas on how i can fix this issue??

Its a common fault with this box and would need fixing in a firmware update

I've noticed this on a few different models, but only if they have been left in standby for a few days.

Doesn't it reset the time automatically when it's turned on?

I notice my F3S has an issue with time, I leave it on standby over night, when I come down in the morning I notice the time 5-10 min out, when I turn the box on the time is updated though.

It does seem to happen when it's been left in standby for a while but doesn't reset when I turn it on

I have installed the latest firmware from skybox.cc (131224) but it still looses about a minute every 4 to 5 hours on standby mode; Is my skybox f5s faulty?

Totally agree. They're farting about with little picons then when they brick the box they cry.

...because perhaps some members don't realise that the clock runs slow in standby & might wonder why they have missed a big chunk of their recording when they come back from their 2 weeks holiday.

...and who said they are not satisfied with the box?

It's merely a thread about 1 aspect of the box which has been brought to everyones attention.

As a newbie on this forum, I wasn't expecting such a harsh reply from one of the largest contributor.
All I wanted to know was if the box I purchased couple of weeks ago is faulty or not.
