    Motor won't move

I am having problems with my motorised setup. It's been up and running for around 10 years but hasn't been used for the last 18 months. I have the F3s with a 1m dish on a STAB 120H-H motor. Iv'e tried USALS and Diseq1.2 but even though I get a message on screen saying "MOVING DISH" the dish isn't moving at all. The cable in the house is going into the LNB connector on the back of the Skybox, not LOOP. Am I missing settings in DISeQ or 1.1 ? Or is my motor goosed?

    Hi,
Is there any signal if your try to scan?
Was it left on a satellite previously to try the scan?
I'd check all connections and see if there is any signs of water corrosion to plugs on motor.
In menu make sure to have a tick next to the installed satellites and put USALS on ALL.
If you haven't added satellite's then add them. 2 would do to test motor turning.
If that doesn't help could be that motor may of ceased in that position, hopefully not.

    Regards Tony

      Hi durasost
Is there any signal if your try to scan? Yes its showing channels and viewing is perfect.
Was it left on a satellite previously to try the scan? Yes, on 28.2 SKY
I'd check all connections and see if there is any signs of water corrosion to plugs on motor. All appear fine
In menu make sure to have a tick next to the installed satellites and put USALS on ALL. Done
If you haven't added satellite's then add them. 2 would do to test motor turning. New satellites added by USB. Cant move motor with the West and East buttons under the GOTO X
If that doesn't help could be that motor may of ceased in that position, hopefully not. I really hope not

try the buttons on the motor itself.
The limit sensors could be shot or the motor is stuck.

            Hi will,

"New satellites added by USB. Cant move motor with the West and East buttons under the GOTO X"
Clear the satellites you've added by USB and Add a couple manually.
Just wondering if when importing them via USB that the file maybe corrupt, just guessing at that 1.
At least by adding 2 yourself through the F3 it's created correctly.

Make sure to have your Lat/Long Position store in the Installation Antenna menu

Go to Satellite List Menu and Add (green button)
Then type in 28.2e or Sky as the name.
Then type 028.2E in the Longitude.
Set LNB Freq to Universal (9750-10600)
            DiSEqC1.0 Disable.
            DiSEqC1.1 Disable
            22k Auto
            Polarity H/V
            Motor Type USALS
Then Press Yellow Button to OK it.
Select the Satellite in next menu and Press OK to put a Green Tick (Active)

Do same for other Satellites you wish to view just with different name and Longitude.

Finger's Crossed Buddy. Let's hope it's just Software NOT Hardware issue.

            Regards Tony

Thanks Tony. Just followed your advice but the dish is still not moving at all. I've spoken to an installer who will come next week to assess whether it's the reciever, cable, or motor (although the smart money is on the motor). Thanks again.
