    sky+ box and skybox f3 or f5

hi im new to all this sat stuff again after a few years away ..
i used to have a dragon cam etc but technology has got more advanced in the last few years

the question i have is a quite simple 1 currently i have a sky + hd box in the front room on full sky package and a normal single lnd input box in both mine and my daughters room just for the fta channels. All these boxes are fed fron the 1lnb on my sky dish.
the question is as the skybox f3 or f5 only needs 1 lnb input can i replace the boxes in mine and my daughters room with these type of boxes and run off the sky dish i use currently ? and if so can i get a so called gift on these boxes or will i need to use a seperate dish.

i also want to keep my current subscription to sky as i want to motorise a dish in the near future.
    many thanks for reading

You you can do exactly what you are asking thus eliminating any multiroom charges. If you search hard enough you will find a presi that allows multiroom.

You will be able to use the dish the problem you get with these cheap Chinese boxes is with the LNB, the problem is that because of the high voltage they use the LNB doesn't switch when scanning certain channel so these channels do not get scanned and you lose them. The fix is to change to different LNB or search the forum for the no signal fix.

I have one dish between two houses with satellite in six rooms using an Octo lnb. I use the same channel list that I keep updated by scanning individual transponders and copying the list to the other units. I dont have any problems scanning or any signal problems on any of the units.
