Skybox F3 porblem

The box randomly shuts off after 10mins or so and reboots and its fine again but then keeps happening.

Any ideas?

trya different firmware off downloads un try that but save ya inportant stuff just incase you need to put back on box ps is the vents clear ie not covered up we other equipment ,,,

Gave it a good clean as it was a little dusty and so far it seems to have done the trick, cheers

is it doing it on a certain channel. mine was doing this I deleted the channel and it was fine

you don't have 2 sat feeds into it do you? easy mistake to make so thought i'd ask.

Don't think so seems to do it on a number of channels.

Nope, just the one feed, really annoying me now ...

unplug all leads a part from the power lead
leave the box on & see if its shuts down without anything plug in.....

if it does then i would guess its the box ready for the bin
if the box does not shut down plug the Ethernet lead in only then see if its shuts down.....if not then just add one by one (leads) untill it does

This happened to me with an F3s. What I done was reset to factory settings. First I dumped the cline to usb, then reset to factory settings. Just updated channel list and re inserted cline and the box is working fine since. However if box is still under warranty, you would be better contacting your supplier first. If you get no joy, then what have you got to lose

I think I might try this later because provider is saying I have no warranty, is it easy to put the ............. onto USB?

Also P & D I will also try your suggestion too.

One thing I forgot to say is that when I have it on the FTA channels it doesn't restart the box...

I think talking sea lions is against the rules, if you have more than one in there or if your toying with freebies found on the net then take them out or try one from another source. just try one at once
