also, what exactly is a clone and whats bad about them??

yes it does and i use that menu....im unsure what you mean? box works fine i just worried that if i have a clone its somehow worse than an original but it works fine and i dont even know if it is a clone!?

In some clone boxes when original firmware upgrade was made after a some time the clone got bricked i.e stopped working, recover method and clone firmware had to be used to get the box working.

To check if its a clone you only need to look at the remote control.

An original should have on the back a gold coloured QC sticker. (these can get peeled off)

Also remove the battery cover and at the top of the opening it should have the word SKYBOX moulded on to the plastic.
