No internet / ethernet on F3s !

Hi, I've tried everything to get working internet through ethernet on my F3s but have failed. Iv'e tried different leads, routers, DHCP on, off, reflashed newest firmware. No youtube videos come up in their menus.
At the ethernet port i'm getting a solid green LED and a flashing orange LED.
Box is only good for FTA.

Has anyone else had this problem?

were you had box from ....send it back .....have you tried connect lap top to lan cable on to feed ya using to connect box to ....also is it set on wireless ,,,,,,how many f3 cya got ps try it at ya friends house see if its box or ya internet connections check ip in networks ,,,,,

Had this problem once the router was configure to wireless connection, when you are in that position get your self a computer with no wireless connection and connect the Ethernet wire and see if your computer works some thing else wrong with your box.

PC works fine using the ethernet cable. Skybox definitely in wired ethernet mode. I have just contacted the vendor and I'm waiting for a reply. On the ebay listing he states ALL returns to be within 7 days of purchase ! I've had this 3 weeks but it's only been out of the box and connected up a few days. Not happy.

Seven days is for returning if you change your mind and want to return under the Distance selling regulations.

Yours is faulty and fall within the Sale of Goods Act. If a fault occurs within six months of purchase it is deemed to be an inherant manufactufacturing fault which is the responsibility of the seller.

Before you follow any of the advice given above, can you just clarify a few things.

Did you buy the box with a "gift" included?

If not, have you added your own "gift"?

Have you checked that your "gift" is "online"?

You say that you cant view Youtube videos, but do you get a list of Youtube videos when you click on one of the headings down the left hand side?

You say that you tried DHCP on & off. Have you left it in the ON setting after you reflashed it, as a lot of firmware sets the DHCP to OFF as default?

If it is currently OFF, set it to ON & reboot box.

Also, do you have a tick next to your gift line? (press OK to tick it if you haven't).

Cn you change the colour to one that is visible. White and yellow dont show at all with the original background of the forum. You may be viewing the dark version.

Sometimes it looks as though someone has posted nothing...until I drag the mouse pointer across the "empty" space to highlight the hidden text.
