    Scrambled channels on openbox

    Hi Guys

I downloaded the latest channel list from this forum for my openbox.

I followed the instructions and I did factory default reset and then added channel list.

Once I did this the box stopped working at my house.

I took it to a cousins house and it works there.

I then took it to two of my friends houses and it didnt work there either.

Now I have no idea whats going on.

I can only get FTA channels at my house but at my cousins I get the other channels.

Any ideas what it could be?

Factory reset wipes all cam info so that is whats going on i reckon but unsure how it worked in 1 house..anyway unfortunately there is no discussions on cs allowed here mate so i would suggest that you contact the person you bought the box from and take it from there.

Sorry i did not realise you had done that.

Set dhcp to on mate and try that.

A factory reset will set that to off

Yep. When doing a factory default a lot (if not all) firmware will reset DHCP back to OFF.

It must have been a coincidence that the default setting of the IP address didn't conflict with the IP settings of your mates pc (or one of the gadgets attached to his modem).
