ensure you aren't using the loop through as these can be funny sometimes and refuse to work.
As mentioned by Hadron, it's best not to have more than one box on one LNB cable even if the idea is to share using the loop feature of the skybox.
If it's not possible to use a different separate LNB cable then only ever have it plugged into one box at any one given time and not via the loop through.
I only recently tried cheating using the loop through with the idea that I would only ever use one box at any one time and even though I do only have one box at any one time on, the signal sometimes will randomly just drop to 5% (ie no signal) on my F5 and even occasionally suffer signal drop on real $ky box itself. So I'm now going order some cable so I can have a separate feed to my F5 like I should have done at the beginning
