    I personally use a wifi repeater and connect that to my box via ethernet, seems to be alot more stable than using the skybox wifi dongles

          The cloud boxes and the openbox 6000hd are the same boxes retail for under ?90, they are vu+ solo clones, they do run a little hot but the newer ones seem to come with a fan so try to get one of these, they are a step up from the other openboxes/skyboxes you can configure them for 7 day epg and are good for ip streaming too.

            @mahrkpat

            Where can I get one for ?90? Its best to leave the box open (theres a clip underneath it that opens the box) to stop it overheating.

                  You would be better spending some time reading up on the VU Solo while you wait its arrival.

                  Also read up on FTP tuts.

                    so vu solo is what the box pretty much is, so in terms of images / firmware etc i would need to post in that forum... ok cool thanks. just waiting to see if my offer will be accepted via ebay

                    im hoping to get a 3g dongle for the internet .. as i dont have broadband,.. or a mobile hotspot via phone.

                    i will do some research or i may just opt for skybox f5s if its easier to usb stuff over...

                      If you don't have a home network then you best leaving all enigma receivers alone, as they mostly need configuring over local network

                        When you say this is the same as Vu Solo, does that mean multi channel recording or is that not the case?
