Skybox F5s Crashing, wont respond until unplugged.

Anyone had an issue with the skybox f5s Freezing/crashing? while watching a programme it suddenly crashes and theres no reasponse from the remote at all untill the box is unplugged and plugged back in.. Tried older & latest firmwares.

There is only one firmware for F5s that I can see.

Try deleting channel lists and resetting defaults (backup important things if you need to like things that help u view channels) and try installing firmware from SkyBox.cc.

Then use either AJs or Sattv5's channel list (see stickies).

If that still doesn't stop crashes then delete channel list and reset defaults again but this time do a manual scan for channels and try that.

Today , i have factory reset the box and then updated to the latest firmware then used AJ's Channel list but still having issues ?

Will need more information like is the box resetting itself? How often would you say? Is it only when changing or just after changing channels?

The box freezes so no response from the remote what so ever this happens when flicking through epg as well as favourites ?

the box can freeze 2 to 3 times a day in worst cases

Try restoring back to defaults again, reinstall latest firmware (again) from Skybox.cc then restore back to defaults (yet again).

As you said it is known to freeze whilst going through channels/EPG then I'd leave the channel lists alone for now and maybe see about letting the box do it's own scan for channels.

Obviously the favourites and channels, once scanned, wont be in any kind of order but if you can live with that for a day (for example) and see if it freezes again.

First thing this morning i had factory restored and then reinstalled latest firmware on my box. This time i had used a older channel list of AJ's and now fingers crossed i think this has fixed the issue i have been using it since morning no issues as we speak

If you can leave it with that channel list until maybe tomorrow night to confirm that's it's not the box.

If everything is still ok and you want to try a more updated list then I recommend you delete all current channels, restart box, load newer channel list and finally reboot box again.

i left the channel list till that day it was fine today i had used the new channel list and same problem started occurring
