Skybox F5s Crashing, wont respond until unplugged.

Try starting the box without the hdmi cable plugged in. Once booted up plug your hdmi cable in, i gave my dad my old f3 which used to do this, booting up without the Hdmi in solved the issue.

i left the channel list till that day it was fine today i had used the new channel list and same problem started occurring

So it's fine on an older list but not on newer one?

I assume you deleted all channels first, reboot box, and then added new channels followed by another reboot of box?

What date of channel list was ok? I haven't got latest channel list as posted by AJ (ie with alternative Sky Sports 1/2) but the modified AJ channel list as posted by Sattv5 here.

Is there a pattern to when box crashes (ie around certain channels)? So for example, it may happen when viewing EPG for channels at beginning of Entertainment fav list (ie BBC 1, etc) but is fine when viewing EPG on a different fav like movies/sports?

Normally if the channel list is faulty or uploaded faulty to the box, then the box would restart straight away or after pressing the favourites button it would not let you scroll down the menu. The freezing issue sounds like faulty storage memory were the channel list gets stored. Their may be a possible solution. I will upload a channel list thats slightly differently edited to the normal ones that are put up to see if it will cure the issue.

sorry for the late reply just been busy, so yh i did follow the way you have stated to update the channel list but still same issue. the channel list i was using before was: AJ's List 9-11-13.

The following problems have occurred with the latest channel list:

* sometimes the box would reboot out of the blue
* box would crash when viewing epg as well as favourites mainly when scrolling
* this is a weird one sometimes when am on a channel i.e bbc one and click the info button on the remote to see what's on next, it would show me info for completely different channel and when i click the arrow down it would switch to the next channel that it showed info for

bad news it still crashed after an hour I shall now try the modified channel list

no i never, just sent the box to the seller he had swapped it for a new one, received it yesterday and today morning it had crashed again ?
