Hi there,
I currently have a Sony Bravia 40 inch TV which supports 1080p 50Hz according to its users manual. I have configured the box to output 1080p 50hz from the menu. Now the Skybox connects to my AV reciever which supports HDMI 1.3/1.4. A HDMI cable is connected from the reciever to the back of the TV.
Now sometimes the tv flickers as though its lost connection to the box if i set to 1080p 50hz. I am using a brand new HDMI cable for the box which is gold plated and supports ethernet. The picture looks impressive.
I doubt its that that is causing it. Could it be the box or the HDMI cable that is plugged in from the reciever into the tv? I don't see a loose connection from the Skybox.
Any suggestions please on how i could pin point whether its the HDMI cable from the Skybox or HDMI cable from the reciever going into the TV thats causing this issue?
