    PVR over network

    Instead of connecting a hard drive to a USB port to record programs, is it possible to store them on a network drive using the ethernet connection?

        Any Linux receiver either Enigma1 or 2 can do what you are asking any closed source receiver such as the sky/openbox cannot

              AFAICT the OPENBOX 6000 HD (which I am considering buying) runs on Linux Enigma2...

                It does run on E2. Make sure you get one with a fan fitted.
