OPENBOX S6000 HD v CLOUD IBOX

I'm on the point of ordering an OPENBOX S6000 HD but my searches for the best deal seem to suggest that it is identical to the CLOUD IBOX, in fact an EBAY ad uses both names for the same box.

The specs for the two boxes seem identical.

    Any enlightenment would be appreciated...

Just the name is different but make sure you get one with a fan.

I installed blackhole 2.0.5 and get constant freezing. Rubbish box as far as im concerned with very little help compared to other receivers.

No one has even uploaded a working backup. In hindsight i should have not bought this.

I am afraid that is a problem with the clones some people get a good one and some get a bad one, I would persevere and try a different image to Blackhole until you find something that is stable for an E2 Linux box that costs around ?60 delivered from china its still worth a punt

The problem with this receiver is lack of support.

For example for vu solo, duo, dm800 alot of people have uploaded a backup image, whereas for this box no one has.

Its for obvious reasons why they have not as they resell. However considering the potential i would have thought there would be alot more support.

I doubt its lack of support as basically this receiver is a Vu Solo full stop which has a tremendous amount of support, As for lack of back up images why would you want to use one in the first place anyway as what image configured on one receiver may not work on your receiver anyway. As no 2 receivers are identical when manufactured, Ok some will work but is it not an ideal solution to start from scratch with a so called Clean image run the receiver bare bones so to speak to see if it runs correctly without hiccup and if so then add Plugins, cams etc... one at a time and test again until your happy you have a fully working image with everything you need.

Personally i would never use a backup off any receiver but my own as that way i know it works as it should.

I agree with digicon the cloudbox/openbox 6000 run the original images of vu+solo and there is a lot of support out there, therefore don't think of these as clones but a vu solo and look at the problems you have and I am sure someone using a vu solo would have experienced the same problem and solved them too also when you are installing things yourself you actually get to know your receiver.

These receivers are worse than women.

I was told PLi runs smooth but I cant get any addons to work, even loading then is a problem. Running Blackhole I dont Have a problem.

Even with Blackhole the Auto Bouquets from DK wouldn't work but one from another forum did.

                    Just like women bloody awkward.

I have found even when I download from the plugin panel sometimes it breaks something else now I look for the latest .ipk file for my image and download then use 7zip until I get to folder structure that I can ftp in to my box but before I ftp I explore and see what common files are going to be altered then make a backup from my box of it, this takes longer but also has saved me hours of trying to fix a broken plugin.
