got skyboxf5s set up running it wireless at moment freezing a bit ,would i be better off with wired connection to stop the freeze

Which is essentially a wired connection.

But yes wired ethernet connection is better than wifi in my limited experience. I am running from router via homeplugs to 4 port ethernet switch to box. Works good.

As long as connections speed is good and the "other end" is decent then freezing should be minimal.
