If you put a white $ly card in an official $ly box, you can receive the few channels that are still FTV (such as Motors TV, Liverpool TV, & a few others).

The problem is, it sets the region to wherever the card was registered.

Has anyone actually found out if the card reader in the Skybox F3/F5 can actually read an NDS card, I know most other receivers when patched with firmware makes there card slot a multicrypt perhaps this is not the case with the F3/F5

The card reader in the Skybox F5 reads NDS cards not sure about anything else but I think it's multicrypt
theres options in the menu to CA Slot settings.
            Settings used were:

            CA Slot Clock Setting (6.12mhz)
            Emm Allow (Enable)

Card faces upwards and matches up with the arrow on the side of the box. You can also even put your box key in if necessary
