    Hi all newbie here. Can anyone tell me if you loose all the settings on the box when you re flash with a new firmware.

      dump everything on your box to USB before you upgrade ,just to be safe

          Press menu and go to tools
          Select upgrade by USB
          Upgrade mode: image file
          Keeping DBS setting: yes
          Then upgrade firmware

          That should retain your settings but always do a backup if things go wrong.
