    openbox s10 possibly killed by clone timebomb

    hi guys.
    is there any software that can bring back to life an openbox s10 possibly killed by clone timebomb,will re-flash with s10 software but will not boot up after re-flash...nothing showing on front panel after turning on power,power supply is working tested on s11..thanks.

    Are you flashing it with the recovery tool?

      The S10 hasn't had been updated since about 2 years ago, the latest version is dated October 2011.

      Where did you download this firmware from?

      See this thread about recovering from a bad flash using rs232 null modem cable.

        firmware was downloaded from official openbox site.
        also have read quite a few pages on the topic of reflasing,it actually reflashes software to the box,but the box should reboot and come on after reflashing has finished,but it does not reboot.

          you have to tick include bootloader in the loader.
          the loader also has the option to save 100% of the firmware back to pc.
          If it doesn't work after loading, dump the firmware from receiver to pc and compare with the file you loaded using a hex editor.It should match 100%.If it does and still doesn't boot,it's a hardware problem.
