    Factory reset on F3 box

Having problems with channels after several hours i decided to do factory reset (didnt back up)
    box now not working.
Tried single scan, multi search scan not picking up anything when box is on shows as follows
    nochan.

Looked at various threads on this site looks like i will need to use firmware in hope that it will kick start back to life? Really not tech savvy at all so can anyone tell me in laymans terms what i need to do. May have to purchase another box me thinks.

    Thanks for any replys

Hi nothing to do with firmware mate....
if it say's Nochan...you need to load aj's or sattv5 channel list on it......a scan won't work.....there will be no sat's stored in the memory

follow this tut how to load one of them.....Here we go again, lots of missing channels questions....Answers HERE

once the channel list is on the box & you have restarted it......the next thinking to do is switch on DCHP...

      menu/network settings/ethernet/apply DCHP/restart box
then you need to switch the special bit on if its still there.....menu/C***m/manage/highlight the thing in there by pressing ok/restart the box

all then should be good to go.....

If everything is fine on your other F3 box then backup firmware (including settings), channel list and other things you need to view channels from the other F3 and restore this to the F3 that doesn't work.

are all channels saying no signal and is signal strength (right hand side of info banner) around 5 ?

If its all channels and quality is 5 then my first thought is loose/faulty lnb cable/connector in back of F3.

Can you swap both boxes around (ie good F3 to where the faulty one is and faulty F3 to where the good one was)?
