skybox f5 pvr??

is there a pvr skybox f5 or something along those lines that accept other channels other than fta on the market if so what sort of cost am i looking at??

PVR is about recording and yes the standard F5 can do it...just add an external hard drive and then go into the settings and enable PVR.
It can record anything you can view which is determined by your gift / line.
The time shift also works on the F5 from the same menu and can be set up to allow rewinding up to 30 minutes.
Your limitation with the F5 is the EPG which doesn't look ahead so yo need a separate TV guide to set things like an alarm clock...but it works

what sort of box do i need to be looking at for a decent epg?

Vu+ solo is a great box. But more pricer than the f5

My F5S only records about 25% of the recordings that I put on timer and then leaves stb switched on. (Toshiba 750G powered via usb).
