Skybox F5 EPG Issue

I'm relatively new to the F5.... have set it up using the chan lists provided.

My question is the EPG is really bad, you can't seem to search it without changing channels (unless I'm missing something?) Can I do anything to enhance it?

That is all you get with these boxes now and next, for 7 day epg with nice user interface you have to invest in a better box like a linux e2 box plenty of them about.
