I cannot 100% guarantee this to work for whatever it is you are trying to do as you don't specify which box, but on my F5 i bought a cheap USB 4 port hub off ebay, it was about 3 quid inc postage and i plugged in a USB stick and the dongle and it worked. You cant have two usb sticks in and record to both/either as it will only see one of the partitions as a valid record partition for some reason, even though it can identify both sticks. But you can essentially have a usb stick and a dongle plugged in and it will be able to connect to your router and record whatever your watching, despite what i have heard from other people. It may vary by box and by what type of USB hub you have.
