Where to buy and which is best and why?

    Hello.
I'm new here, and would like some help to get started if any one could? if these questions have been asked before could you point me to the correct place?

I have found the guide by Shady, but I'm struggling with the basic task of buying a skybox. where do I buy original unmodified skyboxes from?

I have searched google and all I get is the ones on Amazon & ebay which have been modified or is that the best way to start?

Which is the best box to have and why? do I just go for the newest ones? I have seen alot of them on yojiatech, but there's no buy now button?

    Thanks

All i would suggest is a bit of reading on the subject....most cheap boxes are easy to setup (plug & play)..but do need updates every so often....

Shady's guide is good to help you on your way....a long time since i read it tho.....But was a great help when i 1st come on DK (thx Shady)

All i can say all the F boxes & openboxes are basically the same to update....just read the problem's in the openbox section....all boxes have problem's

then decide for yourself what path you want to go down......all Members here will help...but the choice of the box is your's.....

This depends on ...if you want quick tv with the cheap nasty box...or learn the rope's & buy a better & learn how to use it.....

If you asked the same question in the 'general satellite' section, you would have got a better response as most people who dont use skyboxes, dont come in this section..

Ok, thanks all, a bit of research needed then. The reason for posting here is a friend has Skybox and that was the only one I have heard of, didn't know what the others were.

The others involve a slightly steeper learning curve.. but once you learn its not too hard.. They are more for people who want to sit there and play around, whereas a skybox/openbox is just for the average viewer..easy to set up and cheap..
