    Skybox F5S HD?

    Hi,
I am interesting in buying a Skybox F5S HD. I know that you guys know what you are talking about, so it would be great if you could answer my questions!
    1. Recommendation - which of all the skybox receivers would you recommend?
    2. Wi-Fi - how does the Wi-Fi work on the skybox f5s? Does it require a dongle? Will any dongle work?
    3. You**** - I have seen that the boxes come preloaded with YouTube and You****, is there any way to disable this feature (it a family friendly zone )
    4. I have also read about SoftCam.key - does that require an internet connection to work?
    I am a newbie - I don't really know much about cardsharing/cccam etc.
Any help you can give would be awesome!! Thanks!!

First bit of advice is to read the Forum Rules when you joined : http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...rules-2/#post2: Discussions about cardsharing are not allowed, including, but not limited to, cccam, gbox, mbox, etc.

      1. Recommendation - which of all the skybox receivers would you recommend?.....very early F3 box....all the box are now thrown together
      2. Wi-Fi - how does the Wi-Fi work on the skybox f5s? Does it require a dongle? Most boxes the dongle come free...but are s**t...cable or homeplugs work better
      3. You**** - I have seen that the boxes come preloaded with YouTube and You****, is there any way to disable this feature (it a family friendly zone ) YES you can set a password
      4. I have also read about SoftCam.key - does that require an internet connection to work? YES thats all on this question

before you spend your cash these boxes are sold as plug & play........oooohhhh no there not....

a bit of reading will help you decide what box you want & what you have to do to keep them upto date

I use a Softcam.key for ORF Eins HD on 19.2e. No internet connection required.

Yep. When I got my first S9 box, I used it for watching F1 in HD on ORF Eins HD. AFAIK they are still working. (I still check every once in a while).

That was before I was tempted to treat my box to a gift of course!

It may be the way of the future the way things are going, And if anyone actually does still use Softcam such as myself there are still plenty of channels open especially on 7? east

To the OP for you to benefit from the Softcam.key file a Motorised or Multi-LNB setup is a must and yes it does work well on the Skybox receivers
