What exactly does a Channel List do?

    Hi all,

Probably one of the simplest questions you will get, and I did do a search on the Forum for an answer but didn't come across anything...

What exactly does the Channel List do, I know it names the Channels, but does it do anything else?

a channel list contains the names and frequencies of channels
when put on your box you can view all the channels without having to scan for them

A channel list is a list of channels which means you dont have to sit and scan them. It does not make you able to view channels which you do not pay for.

Read the Rules here; they apply to Everyone.

The most usefull thing about channel lists is that all the channels are neatly placed in categories (favourites), making the channels easier to find.

Some channel lists (such as AJ's & sattv5's) also contain a large list of satellites ready to be scanned if you want to watch more than just 28.2e on your motorised or multi-LNB dish.
