Recording Programs on Skybox / play back on other devices

Hello.

I have found out how to record programs and play them back on the skybox but if i transfer the USB to another device e.g. PC, DVD player the video plays but there is no sound, is that normal? is there a way around it?

Is there a way to get the skybox to record programs in a different format? maybe .avi?

Check if its a HD recording, if so, try download some codecs to get sound working (could be a media player issue)

Try to record SD smaller in size and no sound issues

Another possible fix is to change the audio setting on the remote, before recording

seems it must have been a driver issue, downloaded a different media player and works fine
