if update firmware for F3 and f5s for the 7 day epg, will i have to install everythin

The only thing that will need to be done is the channel list and the favourites names,as they will show up as fav1, fav2 etc....everything else will be good to go.

If a channel list is put on and the option not to save the database is selected prior to changing Image to Misc the favorites will be named.

Does selecting Yes to "keeping dbs and setting" include your gift details?
To be on the safe side, I would make sure that you have your gift details on your pc or memory stick first. If not, dump them from your current firmware.
