BABY TV - However, followed all threads, listed inside thread, any assistance

hi there,
first of all i am a newbie to the skybox f5s and skybox scene.

secondly, i am not a newbie to the whole scene, dbox2 days, through to dm500s and to vu duo+.

anyhow, my problem (i have searched the forums i promise)
i notice some problems with baby tv however not to many people complaining as i can imagine,
mums and dads, would actually not have one of these boxes for baby tv purposes.....
probably the movies and sports... (if your on the same wavelength)

anyhow, no-one has been resolved within the BABY TV threads that i can find, please, correct me if im wrong, i am terribly sorry if i am!!!

i have read through the missing channels step by step.
i have done exactly as stated, and used AJ new channel list (9-11-13 for the record)

new channel list loaded fine.
everything works (thank you so much for this)......

apart from the BABY TV!

i just get Audio and no Video..

ok which leads me to the following:

i have done exactly as stated, and this is still under the AJ new channel list (9-11-13)

and still no picture to baby tv....... but i do get the audio.....

which then lead me to the following:
Astra 1N / Astra 2A / Astra 2D / Astra 2F / Eutelsat 28A / Eutelsat 28B (28.2?E) - All transmissions - frequencies - KingOfSat

cactikid post told me to go here and find baby tv.
i found baby tv under the following TP:

ASTRA 1N 10876.00 V 52 UK

so now i know that i need to scan the TP 10876.00
i goto TP list and i find the following:

10876MHz 22000Ks/s V

this matches all information on the above section.... so i search this with the following:

FTA only ... No
Scan Channel ... TV + Radio
Network Search ... No

i press ok
the box searchs, and in the top left box where it shows what it has found, "$BabyTV" is there!....

HOWEVER!!......

still no picture, but the audio is still there

so i have followed the rules, i have searched the forums, i have found multiple threads and listed above...

could anybody assist?


* has anybody done exactly as i did, but fixed this? if so, could you please share the information?

* has anybody else got BabyTV, if so, could you assist what AJ Chanel List (or any other channel list for that matter) you use?

* if it is completely broken and nobody can receive this channel for whatever reason, could you please let me know?



i hope i am straight to the point here and i hope i have done enough to warrent help from the professionals regarding the skybox f5s..
i am not coming here blind and hoping to be spoon fed, i just need to know if it can be fixed

the only reason being, this is for a friend who needed BabyTV obviously for the little one, and currently, i am trying so hard to fix this as i recommended this just for this specific channel, how wrong was i! haha :-(

i would like to add, i have not updated any firmware on the box, just:

1) updated info for $ channels
2) updated channel list
3) searched on TP
4) baffled to what to do next..

the current firmware on the box according to the box is:

Software ver: 3601HD_04_07_2013_054C

any advice is GREATLY, and i mean, absolutely GREATLY APPRECIATED on another level!

I can confirm that my F5S box using the latest 24-10-13 software and AJ's 9-11-13 channel list displays the same as yours on the Baby Channel i.e. no picture and audio only. I've also got an onscreen message stating that the channel is scrambled.

now i know Baby TV does work...

could you tell me what Software Ver your on please?
and what AJ channel list date your using ( if you know this information that is )



so far the only different is, your on F5 and im on F5s, not sure if this matters? or if anything is different?

Menu -> Tools -> Information -> Software Ver

Software Ver is the last line on the F5s im hoping its the same on the F5 for ease of use

I wouldn't have thought it was a software issue. Anyway his software will be a different version to yours as you have a different model ( s ) and your software is 2 versions older than mine and neither of ours work.

i am just looking around now to see if theres anything else on this on google..
if my search skills are up to scratch it is only finding digital kaos with regards to this box and baby tv problem..

im just hoping someone pops up with a F5s with access to the channel..

can depick there information from then on to try to get to the bottom of this!

if anyone on a F5s has this channel no problem, could you please post image version by:

Menu -> Tools -> Information -> Software Ver

and if you know (if you dont not to worry....) can you tell us which channel list your on (AJs or different)

I've also just checked trying Sattv5's latest channel list but still no joy. I've even used an editor to check that the settings are correct in the channel lists which they seem to be.

yeah i found a thread last night linking me to AJs and Sattv5s channel lists but i couldnt re-find the thread to point me to this..

i read on one of the threads, that someone loaded an older channel list (dont ask me how this fixes it, i am still trying to re-find this thread/site/forum)
and it fixed the baby tv issue?..

i find this strange, and no logical explanation, but i am hopeful i can find this thread again as it did list the specific channel list and which one was used
so curently i am searching through google for this :\ wierd one this!

Very strange. Has anyone tried deleting the channel from the All Sat list and then rescanning the TP.

Ill do this in 20 mins when i get back home, do i go into channel editor and delete?

Or could i just for arguement sake, delete all channel lists off box. Reboot. Then do a blind scan and see if this method brings up baby tv

i deleted channel from:

Menu -> Edit Channel -> Channel Edit

found $BabyTv and deleted

scanned on the appropriate TP

the new $BabyTV appeared at the end of All Sat list

still just audio and no video?

You havn't changed the V Format by any chance.

You will find the F5S software on the link below. Try tem all with blind scan.
