need some clarification before i venture into sky f5s please?

Hi i will be a 1st time buyer and am very excited if its true what they claim.
    but have few questions 1st.

    1. is it a one off payment or is there a yearly subscription? this will decide whether to buy a better box 1st time.
    2. do i only connect one sky cable to the back or 2? i have 2 i use 1 for main sky hd box and one for sky freeview box in 2nd room but i will replace the skyfreeview with the sky f5s.
    3. im mainly interested in sports and asian channels, will i get all these?
    4. do you have to constantly update channel list and firmware or is it do it once and forget?
    5. do you continuously get the channels or are they scrambled most of the time etc, how consistent is it?

thats it for now will have more questions depending on answers thanks.

Not constantly, once every month is good enough as long as far as the chanel list goes

one problem may arise skyboxes and providers box may clash giving you a no signal on some channels and it might mean changing lnb on sat dish,i would do more reading on the skyboxes to see how bad they are before you get it,you buy cheap and get a poor built receiver that can be a fire hazzard.

The earlier models are definately better IMO. The openbox x10 and F3 both very good from my experience for the prices.Havent really tried the newer ones properly
