friend came round with his f5 asked me to put new channel list on,no prob with that but cant connect through virgin media hub,no prob with my own dreambox 500 anything i need to change on the hub for the f5 to get on line.thanks for any help given. ps the light on hub stays orange when f5 plugged in.thanks again

Make sure DHCP is switched on in the network settings on the F5, if its still not working, find the box ip address and do a ping test to see if its connecting to your router. If no luck, reset your router. Virgin is a pain in the arse, I've had loads of problems in the past, some boxes just don't like it.
