Download the file, extract it using a programme e.g. Winrar, copy the extracted file to a USB stick, insert USB stick into your box, using the Menu section - navigate to " Upgrade by USB ", select the file, click start, wait for box to upgrade and automatically reboot and - " bob's your uncle " - job done.
Please note I assume that you already know this but I have added this edit to remind you that as a precaution, you should always back up your existing files before doing any upgrade. In particular, your CCcam.cfg file, your TP_PROG.dbs file and your Skybox .abs image file.Last edited by bigade1; 21 November, 2013, 13:41.Comment

Works fine on my F5S - Youp*rn is back working correctly, so is Youtube but the upgrade has changed the category selections on Youtube - there are no longer selections such as Top Rated, Most Viewed etc. - which I personally preferred - they are now replaced by categories such as Film, Comedy etc.Comment

When I first had my box a couple of months back it did freeze a few times and the only way to get it going again was to power it off completely and reboot it. I haven't had the issue for a while now but I have updated the software with three official releases since I've had it. Whether any of these releases have cured the issue I can't really say because I've also reset the box to factory settings a couple of times, changed my channel list several times and also had my power adapter replaced. Any of the latter changes might also have possibly cured the issue.Comment

Thanks for the answer. I will try this software anyway along with a factory reset since I have it three days ago. I make the channel list handmade since every time I use PVR800 or Mediabox Editor Studio it screws (missing channel list or a messy Satellite List). When I first had my box a couple of months back it did freeze a few times and the only way to get it going again was to power it off completely and reboot it. And another question. Do you use it on a laptop cooling pad?Comment

No I don't. Also, I use the Mediabox Editor to re-arrange my regional channels without any problems. An important thing to do before updating a channel list is to delete the old list first using the skybox menu and then rebooting it before you put the new one on. I've also found that if it's your very first channel list upgrade then a factory reset before you put the list on ensures that the favourite lists are displayed correctly. Also, it goes without saying, back up any files before doing a software upgrade especially the CCcam.cfg file if you don't know the details contained in it.Do you use it on a laptop cooling pad?Comment

Ah. I forgot to say a little detail: it freezes when switching channels through the big channel list.Last edited by horvman; 22 November, 2013, 20:39.Comment

Hmmm... When I tried to update my F5s with this file by using the USB or I even tried updating through null modem I get a file mismatch error... Any Idea?
I usually use the files from Download / Software_Shenzhen Yojia Technology Co., Ltd.
Those ones always worked for me... - currently the latest patch is NOT YET on the yojia homepage...Last edited by Miklos; 23 November, 2013, 02:51.Comment
