    where am i going wrong??

    i downloaded a latest softcam file and loaded it to the f5.
    i cant get bulsat 39e or czech link 1w to work.
    i have even tried to input the keys in manually but channels not clearing.

    any ideas?

    i have started this thread here aswell as i dont think i'll get many replies on openbox/skybox section?

        I've only checked bulsat 39e and nova Czech 1w. What else should be available with the sc? Cheers

              First of all where did you get the Softcam patch from and how do you know it is in the correct format for the F5 to be able to read, Secondly some of the Channels in the Softcam patch will only open when the receiver in question has the relevant patched information that can work with those keys.

              From doing a quick search there is only mdt that i know of that had tried the Softcam on the F3 a good few months ago just for a test and i am unsure if even he got it working correctly, This is just my own opinion but these type of receivers are not very good for motorised use especially with softcam anyway the few people that i do know that use them on a motorised system only use them for FTA channels.

              My advice would be to get a better receiver

                hi, that might well be the case...dl a latest softcam via another website...any ideas which other sat stb to go for? budget is ?100.
