Skybox f5s remote

Just received my f5s, plugged it all in and turned it on, everything came on.... Put batteries in the remote but nothing worked. Tried different batteries still nothing.

Even when I press buttons the red light at top of remote dosent flash at all, contacted the guy I bought it off and said I'd try my mates remote and if it worked could he send me a replacement, he got arsey znd told me to send it all back to him box and everything so he could test it, also said postage back to him is my responsibility.

Is there something I'm missing here, could it just be the remote.

Any fixes, or do I just send it back and be out of pocket.... I don't know what assurances I'll get for getting my money back,

hi mate its a common fault on the remote all you need to do is take batteries out you see the round conector wires that should make contact we batteries just raise them up a little that should solve problem

You can test the infra red on the remote by using the camera on a mobile phone.

Point the infra red of the remote to the camera, press a button and see if you can see it light up.
