    wifi repeater

I know that all you satellite wizzes out there will know abut this but nobody told me.
I have boxes in a 3 story o house. As I could not be bothered to hard wire I went wireless, but the signal kept dropping there by scrambling the channels ( not happy )

I have now bought 2 WIFI Repeaters, set them up and have the boxes running off them via LAN cable.

100% improvement also have much improved wireless network all over my house now.

Hope this helps at least one person.

Are your boxes connected to the router by ethernet?
I've got a linksys router with dd-wrt in a wireless bridge mode. Connected wirelessly to router then ethernet to skybox.
I've got low SNR but channels are jittering. Ping to thethingthatcantbenamed shows 23 ms on ethernet but haven't pinged using the bridge.
Do you think it's the wireless causing the issues?

Yes as the signal from your router drops from time to time.
