Hardware Mismatch

As always, first back up your original files before performing a software update. Using a USB stick that has been formatted to FAT32, enter the " Dump By USB " menu of your Skybox and first select the Image file ( which is your software backup ) and dump to the usb. Then change the image setting to miscellaneous files and select TP_PROG.dbs ( your channel list ) and CCcam.cfg ( your gift provider ) and dump these also. Make sure that you place a tick in each file you are dumping to usb by either selecting OK or the yellow button on your remote. Copy these files to a safe place on your PC. To upgrade, download the new software and extract it using the appropriate programme e.g. Winrar etc., then copy it to your usb stick. Once inserted, navigate to the " Upgrade By USB " menu option, select the image file, making sure it is ticked, do not alter any other settings and select upgrade. Wait for the upgrade process to finish and the box should reboot. If it does not reboot do it manually by powering off then on using the remote.

Definitely not, sorry. This software will only work on the " S " series.

The non S firmware is a fix for YouTube/You~~~~, it is not listed as adding EPG support - so don't expect too much.

Hi guys have just installed new software release and aj's channel list, the following print out was attached to the file saying how to setup the new epg setup " SKYBOX F3S F5S 131217 NEW EPG
1.Support view XMLTV by Box's cahnnel.
a.Goto "System Setup", enter the "EPG And Time Setting" Menu,
Set the EPG Default Setting as "XMLTV".
b.In the "XMLTV EPG" menu,Press red key to downlaod the data
manually.If switch "Auto update" on , the box will download
the epg data in standby mode Automatically(Panel show "EPg-").
2 .New "OK list" to switch channel more easily.
a. Press the left or right key to switch between "OK list" and
"EPG Window".
b.For the old "OK list", goto "Micro Panel" Select the "GUI Config" to swtich .

The " EPG and Time Setting " should already be at the default setting once you update the firmware but the first time you use it you will need to enter the Network menu of your box, then go to Network Apps, enter XML EPG app, highlight the UK and then press the red button to download the EPG for the UK. Also, while in this setting, using the left/right arrows of your remote you can also set the EPG to update automatically. You must of course have a USB stick or Hard Drive connected at all times for the EPG feature to download and continue to work.
